Real Simple Has New TV Show

Real Simple has a new tv show premiering this Friday, October 17th at 8pm (ET) on TLC.  If you're a fan of the magazine, I am, it'll be interesting to see how they do the lifestyle makeovers each week.  Topics covered will be similar to the mag; like keeping the household running, getting dinner on the table, staying organized, etc, -- with style, of course.

One to Watch

One to Watch

Are you tuning in today for the first Bonnie Hunt Show? I think she is HI-larious. I love her sense of humor and down-to-earthiness that is so NOT Hollywierd. I had no idea that she used to be an oncology nurse.

Is an hour of T.V. a day too much for a toddler?

The new game shows

The new game shows

I've been watching the promos for a couple of new game shows that seem to be going back to the 50s, or Japan, for their format. The format seems to be getting people to do anything highly stupid and demeaning to win a prize. I can hardly wait. This is going to be so much more fun than Jeopardy.

What do you let your kids watch on TV?

Do you just do DVDs? Only educational programming? Only PBS? A Washington Post column by Lisa Guernsey, author of Into the Minds of Babes: How Screen Time Affects Children From Birth to Age Five, explains that toddlers can be left traumatized or confused by the same shows which will merely entertain a sibling a few years older.
