I just got an email from my friend the Republican. (Yes, I do have Republican friends, but I would never let my daughter date one, especially if his name were Levi.) Anyway, this email says that Biden is planning to step down from the ticket after the debate with Palin in favor of Hillary Clinton. My friend called it a "grand manipulation", which I find particularly hilarious coming from the party that nominated someone who believes in Wilma Flintstone.
I watched the Sarah Palin speech last night. First of all, you should know that I am the voter they all court: an undecided independant who votes along personal lines, not party lines. I had a completely a-political upbringing as my mother is a Canadian citizen, she couldn't vote in American elections so she ignored them.
I've watched Obama and Biden, and found things that I like and dislike. Likewise with Palin and McCain.
I noticed the comments sections in the New York Times' articles about Sarah Palin are filling up with a certain point of view--that a woman who has a special-needs newborn on top of four other children cannot fulfill the demands of both her family and the vice-presidency. "Who is going to be taking care of the kids?" the comments moan.
