Sometimes a twelve year age gap doesn't seem so wide.

Spring is finally right around the corner — though it seems to have been assaulted in an alley — and we can soon partake of those much needed park outings.

Moving can be as hard on the adults as it is on the children. But what I never considered was how much I would miss my friend's children, and how much they would miss me right back.

Music is a wonderful way to cultivate your child's creativity. Much like being exposed to multiple languages, a child who is exposed to one instrument will develop a facility for music in general. Diego started out with the violin, moved on to the piano, and is now mastering the French horn. Nothing like a child with an instrument as large as he.

Thank god for climbing walls. WIthout them, winter would be impossible. This is my Tristen (5) who has taken to climbing at our local rec center instead of climbing my curtains. What a wonderful way to release some energy!
