Can we cancel the cable, please?
Ms. Single Mama had some good ideas for saving money, and they didn't involve giving up the cute shoes. I like the suggestions of giving up the TV and using the library...but, what are the chances the husband will go along with canceling ESPN when the monster motocross rally is on this weekend? Got any better ideas?

That's why they are money saving tips for single moms. Husbands are expensive! They can't live without cable. Actually, if you bought him an iMac he might watch less TV. : )

First of all, make a list before you go to Target and STICK TO THE LIST! That saves me a load of cash and keeps my house much more crap-free.
Also, we go to Costco and buy a bunch of bulk food, then the kids and I plan dinner for a week and make it together on Sunday, then freeze it. That way, we all have a say, we all look forward to the favorite meal we picked and since it's convenient to just thaw and finish, we're less likely to order take-out.
Because the Chinese food delivery girl has a new van, funded mostly by us I suspect.
Single Mama, I like the small car trade in, but how did you get the dealer to take the SUV in trade? I thought those were pretty hard to unload these days.
