Is it Green Day around your house?

Usually, when we're talking about something green at our house, it's something that's been in the back of the refrigerator with a "Use by" date of September 2005. But, I was reading this article just before jumping in the SUV to go buy food that was raised in Argentina, and thought I'd at least raise the question: should we try to instill concern for the environment in our kids, or should we just blame our problems with air quality and oil prices on the Chinese?

When I was a kid, even littering was not yet a moral issue. I'm certainly going to teach my son to recycle, but how do you model being environmentally responsible to your children if you think the cure lies in society rather than the individual? Reading articles about how you can help the environment by wearing jewelery made out of recycled glass makes me feel stabby.
